What We Need From You
To get flowers to a patient, please give us either:
- the ward name and room number, or
- the patient's full name and a contact number for them or their family
Hospitals often won't let us go directly to the room. When that's the case we hand the flowers to reception, and hospital staff take them up to the patient. Either way they get there.
Before You Order — Please Read
Some wards do not allow flowers at all. Intensive care, critical care and certain post-surgical and maternity units restrict them for infection control. Please check with the ward before ordering. We'd much rather you asked us first than have the flowers turned away at the door.
Keep the fragrance light. Strongly scented flowers — lilies especially — can be difficult in a small warm room, and for a patient who's feeling nauseous.
A note on white flowers: in several South and East Asian cultures white is the colour of mourning. If that might apply to the patient or their family, choose colour instead.
