Peonies have the shortest season of any flower we stock, and people genuinely wait for them. There is a reason: a peony opens from a tight green ball into an enormous ruffled bloom several times its original size, and that happens over two or three days in the vase — so the bouquet you receive is not the bouquet you have by the weekend. Set among seasonal blooms in soft pink, they make one of the most romantic arrangements we produce. Availability is seasonal by nature, so when they are here they are worth ordering. - Trim the stems at an angle to help them absorb water.
- Place them in clean, fresh water right away.
- Remove any leaves below the waterline to keep the water clean.
- Change the water every 2 days and re-cut the stems.
- Keep the flowers in a cool spot, away from sunlight and heat.
