Ten red roses with ten stems of white spray rose and baby's breath is a formal pairing — it turns up at weddings and engagements more than anywhere else — so wrapping it in rough natural fibre pulls it somewhere unexpected. The ceremony drains out and what is left reads warm and unfussy, which suits an anniversary at home far better than an occasion with an audience. - Place them in clean, fresh water right away.
- Remove any leaves below the waterline to keep the water clean.
- Change the water every 2 days and re-cut the stems.
- Keep the flowers in a cool spot, away from sunlight and heat.
