Three white flowers with three completely different shapes — lilies opening into trumpets, lisianthus ruffled and papery, orchids arching out on bare stems — which is what keeps an all-white arrangement from reading as flat. Colour is doing none of the work here, so shape has to do all of it. It suits weddings, formal congratulations, and rooms where anything brighter would be intrusive. - Trim the stems at an angle to help them absorb water.
- Place them in clean, fresh water right away.
- Remove any leaves below the waterline to keep the water clean.
- Change the water every 2 days and re-cut the stems.
- Keep the flowers in a cool spot, away from sunlight and heat.
