On 2 December 1971, six emirates united to form the United Arab Emirates, with a seventh joining the following year. Every anniversary, Dubai turns out in the national colours — and flowers are a warm, unobtrusive way to take part, whether for the home, the office, or as a gesture to Emirati friends and colleagues.
The flag, and what its colours mean
The UAE flag carries four colours, each rooted in Arab identity. Red stands for courage and strength; green for the land and its fertility; white for peace and honesty; and black for the defeat of adversity and the resolve of the people. An arrangement built on red, green and white, grounded with dark foliage, captures the flag without being literal about it.
Where flowers fit the occasion
Through the first week of December, national-themed arrangements appear in office receptions, hotel lobbies and homes hosting gatherings. As a gift, flowers in the national palette are a courteous way to show you're celebrating alongside neighbours and colleagues — a small but genuine mark of respect for the country's day.
For businesses
National Day is a busy corporate moment, with companies dressing desks, lobbies and client gifts. For multiple deliveries, or a large statement piece for a venue, planning ahead makes the logistics far easier and the result more polished.
Our National Day collection is arranged around the flag's colours for the occasion.
