Ask what a bouquet costs in Dubai and you will rarely get a straight answer. Most florists show you a photograph and a price, and leave you to work out whether it is fair. That is frustrating when you are buying something you cannot inspect first, for a moment that matters.
This guide does the opposite. It sets out what flowers genuinely cost in Dubai in 2026, what drives those numbers up and down, and how to tell the difference between a bouquet that is expensive and one that is simply large. We have been arranging flowers in this city since 1994, so the figures below come from the workbench rather than from a market survey.
The short answer
For most people buying flowers in Dubai, the honest range is AED 100 to AED 300. That buys a properly made hand-tied bouquet that looks like a real gift.
Below and above that, the range is wider than people expect:
- From AED 7 — a single wrapped rose
- AED 40–120 — small bouquets, roughly 3 to 12 stems
- AED 120–250 — the most popular range: full 12 to 24-stem bouquets, properly wrapped
- AED 250–500 — large bouquets, 24 to 51 stems, and vase arrangements
- AED 500+ — grand arrangements: 101 stems and upward, signature boxes
Delivery is free on every order over AED 200, and a hand-written message card is included at no charge. That threshold matters more than it looks: it is often cheaper to spend AED 210 than AED 180.
What you are actually paying for
A bouquet price is not one number. It is four, added together.
The stems
This is the largest share, and the one you can reason about. Roses are priced per stem, and stem count is the single biggest lever on the final figure. A dozen roses and four dozen roses are the same flower, the same skill and the same wrapping — the difference in price is almost entirely the roses themselves.
Not every stem costs the same. Standard long-stem roses sit at one rate. Spray roses, which carry a cluster of smaller blooms on each stem, cost noticeably more per stem because you are buying several blooms at once. Speciality roses — dyed blues, very large-headed varieties — carry a premium again.
The fillers and greenery
Baby's breath, eucalyptus, ruscus, limonium and asparagus fern are what turn a bunch of roses into an arrangement. They are inexpensive individually — typically AED 15 to AED 25 added to a bouquet — but they change how full it reads. A 12-stem bouquet with generous baby's breath looks considerably larger than 12 bare stems.

The wrapping and finish
Wrapping runs about AED 15, jute or textured finishes around AED 20. Ribbon, sleeves and card are usually included. It is a small line item that does a disproportionate amount of work in photographs.
The container
This is where prices jump, and where people are most often surprised. A foam box arrangement starts around AED 220 and runs to AED 900 and beyond for large signature pieces. A vase arrangement or basket carries the cost of the vessel itself.
You are not paying more for better flowers. You are paying for a container, and for the fact that box work is slower — every stem is cut short and placed individually into soaked foam rather than gathered in the hand.

Because roses are the most-bought flower in Dubai by a wide margin, here is what rose bouquets actually cost. These are current prices for standard red roses, hand-wrapped:

Two things are worth noticing.
The price scales almost linearly with stem count. There is no large discount for buying more, and no penalty either. If you are comparing two bouquets, count the stems — that is most of the answer.
Add-ons sit on top. Baby's breath, eucalyptus or a jute wrap will add AED 15–25 each to the figures above. A bouquet described as "24 roses with baby's breath" is not the same product as "24 roses".

Hand-tied bouquets — best value per flower

Flower boxes — from around AED 220
Boxes arrive finished and need no vase, which is why they dominate office and hotel gifting. Expect AED 220–300 for a small round box, AED 300–500 for the fuller sizes most people choose, and AED 500–900 for large signature and VIP pieces. Browse flower box arrangements.
Vase and basket arrangements

Large and luxury pieces
Above AED 500 you move into 101-rose bouquets, large dome boxes and rose hearts. At this size the cost is overwhelmingly stem count — a 500-rose box contains 500 roses, and there is no way around that arithmetic. See luxury flowers.
What makes prices move
Occasions. Valentine's Day and Mother's Day are the two genuine spikes in Dubai, driven by global wholesale demand rather than local margin. Roses in particular can cost multiples of their usual rate in the run-up to 14 February. Ordering early is the only reliable defence.
Season. Nearly all cut flowers sold in the Gulf are imported by air, so prices track the growing seasons of the countries they come from. Peonies, for example, have a genuinely short window and are priced accordingly. Roses are grown year-round and are the most stable thing on any florist's list.
Summer. Dubai's heat raises handling costs — cold chain, faster turnover, more wastage. Hardier flowers hold their value better in July and August than delicate ones.
How to get more flower for your money
- Buy stem count, not rarity. A large bouquet of ordinary roses makes a bigger impression than a small bouquet of an unusual bloom. Volume is what reads as generous across a room.
- Add fillers rather than stems. AED 15 of baby's breath adds more visible size than AED 15 of roses.
- Cross the AED 200 line. Delivery is free above it, so a AED 180 order can genuinely cost more than a AED 210 one.
- Choose a bouquet over a box if value matters more than presentation.
- Order ahead for the two peak dates. For Valentine's and Mother's Day, a week's notice is worth real money.

What "cheap" should and shouldn't mean
A low price is not automatically a bad deal, and a high one is not automatically a good one. What you are entitled to expect at any price is that the flowers are fresh, that they were arranged for your order rather than pulled pre-made from a fridge, and that they arrive when promised.
Where cheap goes wrong is age. A bouquet assembled from stems that are already several days old will look acceptable on arrival and collapse in three days. That is the difference you are paying for, and it is invisible in a photograph — which is exactly why buying from a florist who arranges in-house matters more than the headline number.
