Deep purple against soft pink paper is a genuinely unusual pairing, and it works because the wrapping is doing the opposite of what wrapping normally does. Instead of framing the flowers in a matching tone it contrasts with them, so the purple looks darker and richer than it would against white or black. - Place them in clean, fresh water right away.
- Remove any leaves below the waterline to keep the water clean.
- Change the water every 2 days and re-cut the stems.
- Keep the flowers in a cool spot, away from sunlight and heat.
