Lisianthus arrives with some blooms already open and buds waiting behind them; pink lilies arrive almost entirely shut and take several days to reach full trumpet. Put them together and there is something happening in the bouquet every day of the week, rather than a peak on the first afternoon and a slow decline afterwards. The pink runs consistently through both, so it reads as one arrangement rather than two flowers sharing a wrap. - Trim the stems at an angle to help them absorb water.
- Place them in clean, fresh water right away.
- Remove any leaves below the waterline to keep the water clean.
- Change the water every 2 days and re-cut the stems.
- Keep the flowers in a cool spot, away from sunlight and heat.
